Anyone who participates in interactive activities (ie: chat, message boards, contest, etc.) on VikingsContest.com's Web site may be asked to sign up. This information is used to validate user accuracy. Name(s) chosen for the contest will be viewed publicly by all, but email addresses are privately stored in a database, only for internal use to validate submission of picks. It is only used for internal purposes for pick validation and confirmation.

Children Under the Age of 13

We do not currently collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. Under certain circumstances, visitors may be asked to submit a screen name as a means of identifying communications to VikingsContest.com. Since this is a contest site, we run a contest. When running a contest, we ask visitors for VikingsContest.com Name and Email. We use contact data from our contests to send users information about contest information, schedules, reminders, and results. On occasion we will include in the emails a good word from our sponsor(s). The customer's contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary for winner notification and prize delivery confirmation. The contest run is hosted on the VikingsContest.com site. Users may opt out of receiving future mailings by filling out the Request Form.

Security

VikingsContest.com utilizes a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. All user contact information is contained behind a "firewall" and only accessible by a limited number of employees who have special access rights to production systems. Contest Names and Email addresses are stored in a secure database, which is also located behind a firewall. No money is processed through VikingsContest.com, since this is a free contest. In worst case scenario, the major security risk is the loss of an email address and loss of seasonal data for unforeseen events. If you have forgotten your Name or Email, you may use the Request Form. You may be asked to provide your Name or Email address, but then what was the point of contacting the Administrator? If you desire to change your Email, you must fill out the Request Form or contact the administrator.

Removal

To remove yourself from the contest for the season, simply fill out the Request Form. You may sign back up again, assuming you have not been removed from the contest for violation of rules.
